Sunday afternoon’s race meeting got under with a fitting tribute for Jack Morrow #924 with all the drivers coming on track, before the whole stadium took part in a minute’s applause.

All at Nutts Corner Raceway were deeply shocked and saddened to learn of Jacks passing.

17 year old Jack was a multi-championship winning racer who was a phenomenal talent and a dominant force in any formula he raced.

Jack will be sadly missed by all in the oval racing community. We again send our deepest condolences to Jack’s family and friends.

It was a mammoth meeting with no less than seven formuals in action. The rain was relentless throughout the afternoon adding to the on track spectacle. The Brisca F2 Stock Cars, Junior Rods, Stock Rods and Micro F2’s all had their meeting final trophies fittingly named in memory of Jack Morrow.

The McFerran brothers Declan Og and Aidan dominated proceedings in the Brisca F2 Stock Cars. Declan Og got his day underway with a fine opening heat win before Aidan chalked up a win in heat two. Declan Og completed the distance to take the silverware in the Jack Morrow trophy meeting final, Gavin Fegan was next across the line with Graham Fegan third.

Alex Walker got off to a flying start in the Junior Rods when he stormed to victory in heat one, Charlie Hill performed the same feat in heat two before Codi Wilson made it to the top step in the final. Following Wilson home in the memorial final was Noah Teggart and Jaydon Brunton.

In the Stock Rods Jamie Cardwell and William Donnell shared the heat honours. It was returnee Shea Duff who claimed glory in the feature final in memory of Jack Morrow, taking the spoils ahead of James Paisley and the World Champion Samuel Montgomery.

The final formula racing for the Jack Morrow trophy was the Micro F2 Stock Cars. William McGaffin enjoyed wins on both the heats before Tommy McAvoy withheld late pressure from the chasing Sid Shaw to take the feature final win.

Completing the busy race card was the GP 2 Lightning Rods. Jamie Burney took the heat one spoils before Mark Goldie stamped his authority on the remaining races; take the honours in heat two and the meeting final.
