There was a six formula bonanza at the raceway on Sunday afternoon with Brisca F2 Stock Cars, 2L Saloons, ORCi Stock Rods, Junior Rods, GP2 Lightning Rods and Micro F2’s all in action.

The Brisca F2 grid was swollen with the welcome addition of World Champion Dave Polley and Micky Brennan, both keen to gain some track time ahead of the World final in September. Graham Fegan and Thomas Greer shared the heat spoils before Declan Og McFerran secured his maiden Final victory later in the afternoon, joining him on the podium was Greer and Brennan. Brennan showed impressive pace as the day went on and was awarded for such with a convincing victory in the Grand National.

Geoff Martin proved unstoppable in the 2L Saloon Stock Cars with another flawless brace of victories from the blue grade. Next across the line in the final was Kieran McIvor and Stuart McCammon.

Reuben Kernohan was another on blistering form, cruising to a fine hat trick of wins in the ORCi Stock Rods. Kernohan was followed home in the final by Calyn Peoples and Shea Duff.

Irish Champion Daniel Stewart was again on fine form in the Junior Rod section claiming wins in the opening heat and meeting final. Stewart was denied a hat trick of wins by Alex Walker who served up an impressive drive to take the heat two glory.

Jordan Nicholl and George Esler both enjoyed victories in the GP2 Lightning Rods heats before star name David Nesbitt upped the ante to secure victory in the meeting final. The earlier heat winner Esler was the gallant runner up this time around.

Completing the busy race card was the Micro F2 Stock Cars, where Robbie Graham and Alice McGaffin shared the honours.

Racing returns after the summer recess on Saturday 29th July (6pm) featuring 1300 Stock Car National Championship, Brisca F2 Stock Cars, 2L Saloon Stock Cars, ORCi Stock Rods, Junior Rods and Micro F2’s.
