The Brisca F2 Stock Cars contested two qualifying heats, which would count towards Sunday’s Irish Open title decider. Decal Og McFerran runs free from the yellow grade to take the opening heat win. Heat two went the way of Scotland’s Gordon Moodie (the current World Champion).
The meeting final was the George Fegan Perpetual Cup in memory of “Skippy” Fegan. Graham Fegan completed the distance to take the win ahead of Moodie and Shea Fegan in third.
Completing the evening was a Grand National; Joshua Murray lasted the distance in this one to take his maiden F2 win ahead of S Fegan and Gavin Fegan.

The Stock Rods were also on qualifying duties as each of the drivers endeavoured to secure a decent starting slot for Sunday afternoon’s British title showdown. Englishman Callum Hosie was the first to taste victory with a win in heat one, Shea Duff chalked up a victory in heat two before the third and final heat went the way of Larne man William Donnell.

The Saloon Stock Cars had a pleasing domestic entry of cars boosted by Scotland’s Ross Watters and 1300 Stock Car star Robbie Wright racing on a day licence. Ryan Wright had a runaway victory in the opening heat before Anthony McIvor broke free of the pack to take the heat two spoils. Matthew Stirling went the distance to win the meeting final ahead of the earlier heat winners McIvor and Wright.

Alex Walker and Mya Hill shared the Junior Rod heat wins before Ryan Abernethy romped to victory in the grand final. Joining Abernethy on the podium was Hill and Noah Teggart.

Completing the race card was the Micro F2’s, Tommy McAvoy enjoyed a double victory while Robbie Graham stormed clear to take a win in the third event.
