The Raceway returned to domestic action on Sunday afternoon, after the busy Saloon and Stock Rod Weekend earlier in the month.

The Brisca F2 Stock Cars made their third appearance of 2023 where Jack Morrow continued his winning ways. The Junior Rod graduate, who has only joined the F2 ranks, chalked up victories in both the heat events. Ballymena’s Adam McFall was dialled in well to take the honours in the meeting final ahead of Graham and Shea Fegan.

Veteran racer Mickey McFall who has recently returned to the ORCi Stock Rod scene, enjoyed a fine afternoon, taking wins in both the opening heat and meeting Final. McFall was denied the perfect hat-trick of wins by Samuel Montgomery who toured to victory in the second heat.

Matthew Stirling and Geoff Martin shared the 2L Saloon Stock Car heat wins before Stirling held off Ryan Wright, who was coming strong in the closing laps to take the chequered flag in the meeting Final.

Robbie McKinstry was winner of the opening Junior Rod Heat before Daniel Stewart took over, taking the honours in the remaining heat and meeting final. Joining Stewart on the final podium was Joshua McKinstry and Noah Teggart.

Jake Carson took the opening GP2 Lightning Rod victory of the day, before Portglenone’s Stewart Nicholl commanded the remainder of the meeting scoring wins in both the second heat and final.

Completing the race card was the Micro F2 Stock Cars where Casey Lee was the star performer, recording a brace of victories throughout the afternoon.

Racing returns to the raceway on Sunday 30th April (1pm) featuring Brisca F2 Stock Cars, ORCi Stock Rods, 1300 Stock Cars, GP2 Lightning Rods, Junior Rods and Micro F2’s.
