Moodie strikes again!!

The Irish Open title was up for grabs on day two of the F2 speed weekend. A depleted entry of cars assembled in the pit area after the bruising encounters of the previous evening. Billy Finnegan continued his impressive form with victory in both the heat races which would put him on pole position for the main race.
Finnegan set the early pace in the Irish Open but it wasn't long until Moodie took over at the helm, Finnegan was quickly relegated to second with Jack Cave third. Moodie managed to hold sway at the front all the way to the conclusion, Finnegan was on hand to keep Moodie honest right to the bitter end recording a pleasing runner up place, Rennie made a late move to fill the final step of the podium. Finnegan rounded out the weekend in fashion with a runaway win in the grand national.

Double delight for Philp

The Stock Rods were also doing battle for the Irish Open Championship. Philp and Sam McKinstry were the heat winners before Philp went on to win the Irish Open. Philp endured a race long battle with fellow country man Derek Connor who was the gallant runner up, William Donnell secure third place.

Sunday Support Round Up

Caitlin Mitchell continued here winning streak in the Micro F2's with another duo of wins, Lana Middler also fitted victory lane in event two.

Brodie Millar and Daniel Stewart shared the Junior Rod heat wins, while Jack Morrow stormed ahead in the meeting final to take the win. Morrow was followed across the line by Aaron Ward and Millar.

Completing the race programme was the Back to Basic Micro Bangers. Aaron McGaw was the heat one victor before Matt Milliken took over to win both the second heat and final.
