Gavin scoops Silverware.

As the British Championship draws ever closer the Brisca F2's continue to thrive providing the onlookers with a fantastic display every time they grace the track, Gavin Fegan has been on top form during the early weeks of the new season and he highlighted his pace once again at the raceway with a fine heat and final double. Fegan opened the evening with a convincing victory in heat one ahead of the ultra fast Chris Kincaid.  Kincaid found the edge in the second encounter by taking the flag on this occasion ahead of Willie Murray. Fegan used his blue grade starting slot to full advantage to strike gold in the meeting final taking his second win of the fixture, Kincaid was in the top placings again following Fegan across the line, the Irish Open champion Ryan McCrory showed some fine pace finishing a credible third place.

 King Jack's winning streak continues

Local lad Jack Kennedy has been a force to be reckoned with in the Stock Rod section since his graduation from the Junior Rods, he continued his red hot winning streak by the King of the Corner title to his impressive C.V. Kennedy had to settle for runner up spot in both heats behind Lee Wylie however he cranked up the pace in the feature race taking the win well clear of Matthew McKisntry and Jason Clyde.

Greer and Lowry share the glory

Peter Greer and Nicky Lowry were the heat winners in what was another lively and bruising encounter in the 1300 Stock cars.  The 1300's have been show stealer’s recently with a perfect mix of close tight racing and hard hitting contact, Greer was the pace setter in the first heat where he picked up the win ahead of Lowry and Michael Logan. Lowry was able to go one better in heat two where he took the win ahead of the earlier heat winner Greer, Chris Hamill made good use of his new G.R.P machine to take third place from his Super Star starting position. The final got of to a hot and heavy start with the bumpers going in wholesale, it wasn't long until the race was suspended for the stricken Ben Armstrong machine who had received several blows whilst stationary. It soon become apparent that all was not OK in the Armstrong car and the safety and medical crews were quickly on the scene to carry out their sterling work. The roof of the car was removed to aid the extraction of the injured driver from the car before he was transferred to the hospital for further checks and treatment. This sequence of events led to the abandonment of the reaming part of the 1300 final as the curfew finish time was fast approaching. Thankfully after spending some time in A&E Ben was released with no serious injuries.

Flag falls on Anthony & Stuart.

Anthony McIvor the current Irish Champion was the man to beat in the first 2L Saloon heat where he romped to victory ahead of his brother Kieran and the veteran racer Stuart McCammon.. McCammon stepped things up a gear in heat two taking the win ahead of Anthony and Robert Mawhinney. The scheduled meeting final was not run due to time restraints arising from the incident during the 1300 final.

The next race meeting takes place on Wednesday 11 May @ 7.30pm F2's, 1300 Stock Cars {Gold Helmet}, Gp2 L/Rods & Junior Rods.
