Gavin Captures Final Glory (F2's)

Star grader Gavin Fegan was on form in the F2's to complete a fine night of action for the Belfast man with third place finishes in each of the heats before he took a flawless victory in the final.
Dundrod's Matthew McCreight enjoyed wins in both heats but was denied a perfect hat trick when Fegan stamped his authority in the final. As the green flag was dropped in the final the bumpers were exchanged hard as the star graders all battled hard into turn one. Christopher Kincaid was the casualty of this, finding himself spun around. Fegan broke well clear of the chasing red grade at this stage and went in search of the leaders, McCreight and Conor Hughes, it wasn't many laps before Fegan made it to the front to take the win ahead of McCreight, Ryan McCrory and Craig McConnell.

Trophy Time Again For Stewart (1300 stockcars)

Ryan Stewart enjoyed two victories at this meeting. Numbers were down a bit in the 1300's from the speedweekend, but none the less the bumper action was coming thick and fast. Dan Feeney was the victor in heat 1, with R.Stewart runner up. Heat 2 was brought under yellow suspension when a wheel came off the Vauxhall Corsa of Richard Taylor. During the yellow suspension Irish Champion Dan Feeney attacked the car of William Stewart banging and bashing into him. Actions like this are very much against the rules, primarily in the interests of safety and Feeney was subsequently excluded from the results and indeed the remainder of the meeting. There was a great battle early on in the final between the Stewart brothers and Richard Taylor. Ryan Stewart managed to break free from the others and went on to record another fine victory from Richard Taylor in second and William Stewart in third.

Double Delight for Jack (Junior Rods)

The ever improving young gun Jack Kennedy proved he is no push over by posting two wins and a runner up spot in the Juniors. Heat 1 was won by Niall McFerran, spoiling the hat trick for Kennedy. Kennedy's winning streak kicked into action in heat 2 when he took the win with McFerran the runner-up on this occasion. Come final time Kennedy had his eye on the prize and powered his Vauxhall Nova to the flag to take an excellent race win. He was pushed hard by Irish Champion Dean McCrory who finished runner-up with McFerran coming home in third to round off a string of great results for him.

Gary Beggs The Final Honour!

Gary Beggs was a man on a mission in the ORC Lightning Rods section. Beggs, a former BriSCA F2 stockcar driver, showed off his experience of the Raceway by recording a fine duo of wins. Gordy McKee was the victor in heat 1, before his car lost oil pressure and was unable to compete in the remainder of the meeting. At this stage Beggs stood up to the plate and took over where McKee left off, Beggs took the honours in the second heat and the final with Darren Bevan and Ben McKee next across the line respectively on both occasions.
Racing returns next Wednesday 3rd July at 7.30pm with BriSCA F2 Stock Cars 2013 Grand National Series Rd. 4, Speed Stocks 2013 Supreme Series Rd. 2, Group 2 Lightning Rods 2013 Masters Series Final, Junior Rods and the Caravan Demolition Derby.
